I've linked up with Mrs M's Meal Planning Monday
February! Yay! This means 2 things - Six Nations rugby, and the clocks going forward....which means SPRING IS ON THE WAY!!!!
Gave MPM another miss last week because we were so late with our meal planning and decided to wing it again. Had nice meals though. However my weight is creeping up again and I have a few lbs to lose to get back to my happy place. I have been running a lot and perhaps this might account for increase in weight but it doesn't explain the squishy bits round my middle! Which I can only attribute to the fact that I think running means I can eat more crap ;) So I have been sitting armed with my recipe file - which I sorted out last night and removed anything calorific - and a pen and paper writing down ideas for meals that will be both tasty and good for me. I am also trying to make more interesting and healthy lunches, as my major downfall is snacking during the day. Difficult in my job where I am surrounded by tuck shop sweeties in my office!!!!

Lunch-wise I am having a variety of tuna pasta, pizza puff pinwheels (171cal each) with salad, and chicken pasta with basil, sundried tomatoes and balsamic dressing. That should keep me motivated - surely I can't be the only one who finds eating the same thing for lunch every day completely soul destroying?! I've also bought some Ryvita Thins to bring into work and have with sweet chilli Philly to keep snacking at bay.
As always you can join in with Mrs M and link up your meal plans. With 50+ entries the last couple of weeks there is plenty of opportunity for inspiration too!

Those lunch ideas are lovely - I really must start planning my lunches as well as dinners.
ReplyDeleteHope the running is going well!

We made pizza style pinwheels recently, so delicious!
ReplyDeleteThe slimming world rice sounds good too x
Curry sausages! Where are they from? They sound fab!
ReplyDeleteIs beans on toast the pre-Hockey meal? The man is always starving when he gets home so I'm wondering what will be a slow release meal to keep him going. Hmmm..
Have a fab week - and well done on not scoffing the sweets, you've more willpower than I have
